Been awhile since I posted. I'm inspired by a fun contest going on.
Its on Ali's blog. Its sound so fun have to try and the prizes are awesome. I have to mention my Knitting projects for the Summer.
Even tho I don't knit or crochet much in summer i plan to this summer. I hope i win i really can't afford yarn at the moment. Plus i need to add to my yarn stash. Here weeeeeeeeeee go.
1. Tank Top for Daughter.
2. Finish 2 pair of socks.
3. Start a new pair of socks.
4. knit more washcloths for swaps.
5. Finish knitting soft scarfs for Christmas gifts.
6. And if there is time start my first sweater.
That is some mighty goals to finish i hope to suceed.

Started working on Swaps here is a pic of my washcloth and soap I knitted the washcloth yesterday. It starts on May 20th so you still have time to join in. Its laying on my YoYo quilt Im working . I'm also working on my
YoYo's for my partner in the YoYo swap at swap bot that Im hosting. Look for future swaps.

Yeah First Sock i completed it turned out okay i did it with circular
Magic Loop is soooooooooooooo easy. Turning the heel was a bit tricky
and my second sock is looking alot better but for the first sock ever
i think i did okay.. Its the winter sock pattern in the ML booklet.
I did have one little hole i must confess but you barely can see it. After ripping it out a few times i finally got the hang of it better than dpns thats for sure. Now im hooked
on sock yarn yep all sock yarn i went crazy and bought some to dye. Here is 2 skeins i bought from knitpiks very good price.

I bought some koolaid and guess what i did. I dyed and i call this one perty.
I also dyed the other one and i called it serenity.
It was fun the kids had fun and it was interesting how the colors came together.

It was a beautiful weekend here in Sc here is a pic this is the lake near our home. And the park we hang out its Finely park right smack in Columbia Sc.

Easter Sunday . What a Beautiful day in Sc, Sunny and Chilly.

Kids had their Egg hunt and Bq loved every minute of it. Wanted to wish all my friend Happy Easter. As for projects i have ripped out my first sock i think 6 times it starts to look good then omg downhill.. So far i have done about 15 rows and its looks okay but you know practice is the best thing.

Did some more rippling and made some YoYo's nut much time with Easter cooking.

What did you have? We had Bq chicken and sausage, Potato salad and macoroni salad.

Baked Beans, Banana Pudding and ranch butter grilled corn on the cob all home cooked.

It was awesome. Now im starving to get the weight off.

My easter present ;)

It's sprink break for the kids here. Omg that means spending all day at home what are we going to do. Well today i wanted to show you my yarn stash i got yesterday at AC Moore. My daughters took me shopping and resturants and Friday nite we went to Five points sat and had Starbucks got a bit cold so we moved on the the Vista. These places has so much culture its a area for the College USC so it had alot of young fresh minds roaming around. I wanted to be 21 at that moment.

Here is the Yarn i bought 2 Modea Dea Sassy Stripes Crayon Color and TLC Cotton Plus Thistle color. And one green for my Ripple Afghan i have started. I started the Sock yarn Modea on a circ and doing the Magic Loop so far its coming out okay need to practice more i might have to rip it out but im going to take a pic it will be my first sock so excited i can finaly do ML and dpn.. But im liking the ML alot. Here is a pic of my Ripple i started the pic doesn't do it justice but is a real pretty autumn colors.

I can tell that im going to go crazy with grandkids with school being out got to find some projects for them. I have been seeing many blogs coming out with Flash your Stash Yarn. So happy Stash Yarn day you have been Flashed.

I'm updating on my activies. First off its my grandson Joshua 5th birthday he will be celebrating at his dads house but we had Oreo chocolate cake and presents last nite and saturday its his day to mcdonalds and Teenage mutant turtles movie cant wait im a big fan . My kids grew up watching them. booo hooo josh doesnt feel well today got a bad cold.



As for my Projects i decided not to work on the below afghans but to work on a ripple ghan i went to the ripple along site and fell in love with ripples now im trying to find a good pattern i have lots of left over yarn i can make all colors. I think i have started the dpn socks. Yes i can knit on them it took days to learn i didn make half a sock and ripped it out because it looked funky but now that i have the nack im going to get some good yarn and start being serious and make my first basic sock if anyone has a good pattern and a good choice of yarn comment me plz.

I have some swaps i need to start working on first is the yoyo swap i have and then i have a cup of tea and a coaster. Im going to crochet a coaster i will post a pic when im finish. Then i have the 5 envelope gifts to mail not to sure about that one yet i do have little crochet bunnies i have that i can put in a small envelope the pic is not to great they are cute have a bow and cute cotton tail and you pin them on your shirt or vest.Ive added music to this blog and a message box you can just leave me a message and i also added a button board at bottom of the blog you can add your button to your site. Only crafty friendly sites please. I can delete them if they are not approriate ty ty. The music box is below this blog and you can pause it or stop it if you dont want to listen to music. I picked a variety of songs im really a metal head has been since i grew up in the 70's but i like all kinds of music you can go to my myspace and listen to some hard stuff hehehe myspace link is in my great links on side bar.
I also added a flickr box where i have leaflets for 2.00 yep thats including shipping i only have a few so if you want one per customer please email me at craftypiggie@aol.com click on the flickr box and it will show you the patterns i also opened a Esty shop i put a few leaflets in there that is also on my side bar under auctions. My problem is when i make something i give it away can keep anything to sell so right at the moment its leaflets. Okay thats it for now any questions just comment away...i guess im catching joshes cold ugh ugh ugh. The Pollen here is so bad everthing is green . We go outside and our car is covered never seen that before .

Here is the reason i get up in the morning meet Terrence he is a handful and is in his terrible 2's .I took joshes pic so he had to have his done and put on Grandmas site ain't he cute. Time to go i think i will go and knit a sock ...(yeah right) well at least get it started to where is looks like a sock and practice before i get my expensive yarn and please comment me if you know a good sock yarn and cheap cheap cheap got to keep it down at least for today so have a blessed day!! Update : March 29th : I found a great ripple pattern i was looking for the round look than the pointed look. Im going to start it tonight . Im really liking the magic loop . I can now use dpn but i seem to have a ladder problem and the magic loop is so much easier now to get some good yarn im allways drooling at the yarns on the web and so many hand dye them its just not in my budget dont know what to do maybe the yarn god will bless me with a donation from someone hopefully in my family i need sock money lol.. I didn find one shop in a town its bit far from where i live so it might be cheaper to buy online too bad i dont have sheep in the back yard heheh cause with all the grandkids i got koolaid lol..hugs

I'm Back yeah yeah it took over a month to get cable back on to where i live. Yes i live in the wood love every beautiful quiet day out in the woods but there is draw backs with technology lol but we survived with out cable thanks to satelite but internet was not on and i had withdraws. Thanks to the library i could go and check my emails. I hate moving ugh but we are all in tip top shape and ready for anything that is thrown to us hehehe so i missed all my cyber friends. We are very much Irish in our family and we had a festival here is a pic of my daughters acting crazy and dressing up for the day.
Here in Columbia they had numerous rock band and the festival had tons of stuff to do.

Well as for crafts i had to put them done for a while but im back to making stuff ..At the moment im working on making a filet curtain for our kitchen, its a bit tedious so i put it down now im working on wanting to make a afghan here is where im torn i have two i want to work on.
This is the Bargello one im really torn to this one. The colors are pretty. But this other afghan is much time consuming and work its a Tunsian (afghan stitch) afghan which i can stitch in my sleep but has a twist its call carry along afghan. You Cross Stitch on each block i thought it would make a awesome Afghan Stitch exchange might take awhile tho..please comment on what you think. These Both afghans are in the book Blue Ribbon Afghans from Americas State Fairs great book!!!
